Employee-Wellness-Statistics

Elevate Your Workplace Wellness:

Today’s fast-paced corporate environment, prioritizing employee well-being has become more crucial than ever. As employers seek to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee satisfaction, incorporating on-site massage therapy has emerged as a powerful solution. Having a massage therapist on-site, available to employees on a regular basis, can be a game-changer for both employees and employers alike and why so many corporate partners choose to work with us.

Stress Reduction and Mental Well-Being:

Stress is a common factor in the modern workplace and can significantly impact employee productivity and morale. On-site massage therapy offers employees a convenient and effective way to manage stress levels, promoting relaxation and mental well-being. Regular massage sessions have been shown to reduce anxiety, alleviate symptoms of depression, and improve overall mood, leading to a happier and more engaged workforce.

Physical Health and Pain Relief:

Long hours spent sitting at a desk or engaging in repetitive tasks can take a toll on employee physical health, leading to musculoskeletal issues such as back pain, neck tension, and carpal tunnel syndrome. On-site massage therapy helps alleviate these physical discomforts by targeting areas of tension and promoting better posture and muscle relaxation. By addressing these issues proactively, employers can prevent workplace injuries and reduce absenteeism, ultimately saving on healthcare costs.

Boosted Morale and Employee Retention:

Providing on-site massage therapy demonstrates to employees that their well-being is valued and prioritized by the organization. This gesture of care fosters a positive work environment, where employees feel appreciated and supported, leading to increased job satisfaction and loyalty. In turn, this can improve employee retention rates, saving employers the time and resources associated with recruiting and training new talent.

Enhanced Productivity and Performance:

A relaxed and rejuvenated workforce is a more productive one. By investing in on-site massage therapy, employers can help employees recharge and refocus, leading to improved concentration, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Moreover, regular massage sessions can boost energy levels and combat fatigue, enabling employees to perform at their best and achieve optimal results.

Competitive Advantage and Employer Branding:

In today’s competitive job market, offering unique and attractive benefits sets employers apart from the competition. Providing on-site massage therapy demonstrates a commitment to employee well-being and sets a positive tone for the company culture. This can enhance employer branding efforts, attracting top talent and positioning the organization as an employer of choice within the industry.

Small changes can make a huge difference to your bottom line. Employee wellness initiatives are growing in popularity due to their direct impact on organisational productivity.

  1. Reduced Absenteeism: In the UK, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) estimates that 17.9 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, depression, or anxiety in 2019/20. Implementing wellness programs that address mental health issues can help reduce absenteeism and improve productivity.
  1. Increased Engagement: A study conducted by Britain’s Healthiest Workplace found that employees who reported being in poor health were 3.1 times more likely to be disengaged at work. Conversely, organizations with robust wellness programs saw a 21% increase in employee engagement levels.
  1. Improved Focus and Concentration: Research by the British Heart Foundation found that physical activity during the workday can improve cognitive function by up to 30%. Encouraging employees to take short breaks for exercise or offering onsite fitness facilities can enhance focus and productivity.
  1. Cost Savings: The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) estimates that presenteeism costs UK businesses £61.2 billion per year, far exceeding the costs of absenteeism. Investing in employee wellness programs can help reduce presenteeism by addressing underlying health issues and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  1. Positive Work Environment: A survey conducted by YouGov revealed that 86% of UK employees believe that employers have a responsibility to support their employees’ health and well-being. Creating a positive work environment through wellness initiatives can boost morale, job satisfaction, and productivity.
  1. Better Employee Retention: According to a report by the Institute for Employment Studies, 74% of UK employees consider health and well-being offerings when deciding where to work. Organizations that prioritize employee wellness are more likely to attract and retain top talent, reducing turnover costs and maintaining productivity levels.

By addressing physical, mental, and emotional well-being, employers can create a healthier, happier workforce that is more engaged, focused, and productive.
